Vertical Sundial at New Mills:- New Mills
A new sundial dedicated to Sir Martin Doughty was unveiled on New Mills town hall on the 11th of October 2009.

Sir Martin Doughty was the father of modern conservation and founding chair of the Natural England organisation, the government's adviser on the natural environment.
He died on the 4th of March 2009, and would have had his 60th birthday on the day the sundial was revealed to the throng of walkers and fell runners who had gathered to celebrate his life.
